- Hi Richard, the Circulation Promoter XP and most of our other products (except the Pain Therapy System PRO) use AAA alkaline batteries. How long batteries last depends on usage. The Pain Therapy System PRO is the only one of our models that comes with an inbuilt rechargeable battery.
